World Book Day 2022

World Book Day is 3rd March 2022.

This year’s focus is 'you are a reader'. Our World Book day celebrations focus on fostering a love of story and listening to our favourite stories.

  • At home use adults or older siblings to read a story to your child.
  • Stories using technology are fantastic and engaging too, look out on your child's class pages for favourite class stories. Cbeebies and youtube offer a wide range of stories to listen to.
  • Explore and reenact stories using teddies, toys or role play linked you your story choice
  • Look for more ideas within the tab curriculum - home tasks -  story activities
  • The scottishbooktrust.com  have links to the BBC on demand library of live author shows - this may be of interest to parents & siblings of our pupils.

Reading for adults is promoted too, further down this page are reading suggestions from our class teams.

All pupils will receive a book voucher, see below for this years books. Alternatively the voucher is redeemable for £1 off any other choice of book.

Please email your child's teacher any photos or share comments linked to World Book Day.

Thank you
